Amazing Marinade

I came up with this combining a favorite marinade recipe with a favorite rub recipe and tweaked them so they went well together. We love to use this marinade on tri-tip, but it goes well with a variety of meats. Try sprinkling crumbled blue cheese on your finished steak! Marinate your meat for at least 30 minutes.

Recipe Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill
  • ¼ teaspoon dried sage
  • ¼ teaspoon dried rosemary

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Whisk olive oil, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, celery salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, dill, sage, and rosemary together in a bowl until the mixture emulsifies and the salt is dissolved.

  3. Marinade tasted great! It didn't replace my very favorite but it was still very tasty. No extra seasonings or sauces were needed with dinner. I marinaded for about 5 hours and broiled in the oven. It would certainly be tasty on the grill.
  4. I used this marinade on a tri tip I cooked and it turned out great!. It didn't over power the meat, but have it some great flavor. I am definitely going to use it again!
