Recipe Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup chopped fresh apple (with skin)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Cooking Directions
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add apple and brown sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
- 2 Stir in oats, apple cider, milk, cinnamon, and salt and cook, stirring frequently, until oatmeal is creamy and thickened, about 3 minutes.
