Good recipe for any filleted fish. If using other fish, cook time may vary depending on the type and thickness of fillets.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or to taste
  • 2 pounds mackerel fillets
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ⅓ teaspoon ground paprika

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking pan with vegetable oil.
  2. 2 Place mackerel fillets in the baking pan; season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3 Mix butter, lemon juice, and paprika together in a bowl. Pour over mackerel fillets.
  4. 4 Bake in the preheated oven until mackerel flakes easily with a fork, 20 to 25 minutes.

  6. Very good! I used almost a pound of flounder fillets because that's what I had on hand. Cooked in about 22 minutes. Delightful and delicate taste. Delicious!

  8. Love this as a good base because it allows for many different add-ons. I decided at the last minute to include a sprinkle of of all-purpose seasoning and tossed some leftover bread crumbs on top of each piece omg!!! This was so delicious easy and quick. I ll definitely be making this again.
