Chef's Notes

If desired, meat may be added to this dish. Generally chicken and or pork are used. Approximately 3 to 5 pounds of cooked meat may be added to the center of the pie. Pour 1/2 to 2/3 of the batter into the pan. Spread the meat around the center of the pan, leaving about half the batter around the edges without meat. Pour remaining batter on top.

  1. This is truly a 'keeper!' I made for Christmas 2020 - took Sayfiya's advice and added more eggs and like A. Littles used 15. *Thanks so much sim871*
  2. This is a good one! I tried it because Safiya said she liked it. Made 3 of them from this recipe so far and used 15 eggs.
  3. I added 4 more eggs came out amazing!
