Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen French-cut green beans (such as Kroger® Private Selection®, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ cup pecan pieces
  • 1 pinch salt, or more to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil; add green beans, cover, and steam until tender, 2 to 6 minutes.
  2. 2 Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook pecans in melted butter until lightly browned; add green beans and stir to coat in butter. Season beans with salt.

  1. A very tasty dish that gave life to French cut green beans.
  2. Followed recipe exactly. Easy to make and delicious. Not too much butter. The pecans added a nice crunch.
  3. Nice change from our regular version. I added a little extra butter after adding the green beans and a little pepper too. it hit the spot. Thanks for the recipe.

  5. Green beans don't get any easier than this recipe. I don't have a steamer so I just microwaved the beans drained and proceeded with the recipe. I served these with 'Chicken Shawarmas' and 'Good for you Greek Salad' both from AR.
