This quick, one-pan dinner is made with cream of mushroom soup, milk, tuna, green peas and Minute® Rice topped with shredded Cheddar cheese.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained, flaked
  • 1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
  • 2 cups Minute® White Rice, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup French fried onions or crushed potato chips

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Mix soup and milk in medium saucepan. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring frequently.
  2. 2 Add tuna and peas; mix well. Return to boil.
  3. 3 Stir in rice and cheese; cover. Reduce heat to low; cook 5 minutes. Stir until cheese is melted. Garnish with canned French fried onions or crushed potato chips just before serving, if desired.

  3. Kinda' on the fence with this one. We ate it but there was something missing. I kept adding stuff (not worth mentioning) but just didn't quite do it for us.
  4. This is one of those dishes that I grew up on (thanks to my best friends mom - which cooked everything like this). Anyhow - 5 Stars for easy peasy and 5 stars for taste! Also - she really never used cheddar but just used sliced cheese; still delish!

  6. Yum! This was deceptively delicious. Reminds me of tuna casserole but so much quicker. We added some onions about 1/3 cup. Such an easy weeknight meal.

  9. Excellent in terms of time (it's quick!!), taste needed some work. Here's what I did: instead of saucepan, I used a deep skillet for preperation.
