This cake is so easy but it tastes so good! My mom gave me the recipe for this mocha colored Bundt cake dripping with coffee liqueur and vodka. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ cup coffee flavored liqueur
  • ¼ cup vodka
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons coffee flavored liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons vodka

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
  2. 2 In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, oil, 3/4 cup water, eggs, 1/4 cup coffee liqueur and 1/4 cup Vodka. Mix well, then pour into greased and floured Bundt pan.
  3. 3 Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Pour glaze over hot cake while still in pan. Let cake sit for 30 minutes.
  4. 4 To make the glaze: in a small saucepan combine sugar, butter and 1/4 cup hot water. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. remove from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur and 2 tablespoons vodka.

  1. This is the best cake I have ever tasted and I don't typically eat cake. I love this cake and make it all the time. Very very easy. You will love it too!
  2. This cake is insanely good. Words can't describe how moist it was. I used dark chocolate cake mix chocolate pudding mix mixed in 2 tbsp instant coffee in with the 3/4 cup water used about 1/3 cup Kahlua no vodka used one small container of applesauce and just 1/2 cup veggie oil and I didn't - Read more ...
  3. Wow.......this was great! I used a dark chocolate cake mix with vanilla pudding 4 eggs and 1/4 cup oil. Definitely a keeper!
  4. Fantastic! My husband gobbled it up & licked his plate clean... he said it tastes like tiramisu. So far I've tried this recipe two different ways both times I used Triple Chocolate Fudge cake mix but once I used vanilla pudding and the other time I used chocolate pudding - my husband like the chocolate - Read more ...
  5. We get the BEST compliments with this cake! We've tried it w/ butterscotch pudding and buttershots banana chambord (our fave so far) kahlua and for the holidays... peppermint schnapps. It always disappears! Just sprinkle w/ a little powered suger and it's done!
  6. This is the best liquor cake I have ever tasted! Instead of the vodka and coffee liquor I used blackberry brandy. I topped the cake with fresh strawberries and raspberries instead of frosting - it is already plenty sweet. Thanks for the recipe! I will make it again.
  7. a good cake but the mocha side does not come through.
  8. Incredible! So moist and so delicious. I used all coffee liquer for the frosting rather than a mixture of vodka and coffee liquer and it was wonderful. I will definitely make again!
  9. Great tasting cake and very moist BUT replace the coffee liqueur with Chambord instead. Absolutely incredible!!!
  10. This cake is a WINNER! Very easy to make and because of the hot sauce you add after the cake has baked...the cake is ultra moist. All my guests oooh and ahhh and beg for more. I'm making two cakes for the next party!
