The most complex, oddly simple, and quite ridiculously good tasting cocktail.

Recipe Ingredients

  • ice cubes
  • 2 fluid ounces gin
  • ½ fluid ounce maraschino liqueur
  • ½ fluid ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 maraschino cherry

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Chill a cocktail martini glass in the freezer. Add ice to a shaker. Pour in gin, cherry liqueur, and lemon juice. Shake well for 1 minute (not kidding), then strain into the chilled glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

  1. I had Maraska liqueur and was looking for ideas. This was great! I halved the recipe but put 2 cherries in my martini glass, then chilled it for an hour in the freezer (I don't own a shaker). Nice aperitif before dinner!
  2. This is sour/bitter. I couldn't find maraschino liqueur (was told that it is an "old time" thing) so I used maraschino brandy.   3. Great cocktail! I also took the recipe picture which is not quite right I admit--I used cherry liqueur (which is deep ruby) instead of maraschino liqueur (which is clear like grappa).
