Cranberry sauce is sweetened with honey and pears for a wonderful variation on traditional cranberry sauce that goes well with turkey.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • 2 pears, diced
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Heat orange juice and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Stir in cranberries, and cook until they start to pop, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in pears, honey, and cinnamon sticks and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and transfer to a bowl. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools. Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.

  3. Great recipe but I opted for Gala apples no sugar and 3/4s cup of honey. Everyone but a few youngsters seemed to like it.
  4. Well I made last night review overall good but a few people didn t care for the cinnamon taste brought out. If you love cinnamon great recipe if so-so cinnamon can probably not the recipe for you.

  6. Made it twice just using 1 cup of honey no sugar. 2nd time used gala apples instead of pear. Both times turned out awesome. Super easy!

  8. The cranberry sauce was a hit at our Thanksgiving dinner! I reduced sugar to 1/2 cup and substituted 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon.
