A nice change from sweet pancakes. They accompany savory dishes nicely.

Recipe Ingredients

  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup scallions
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Combine milk, flour, egg, scallions, water, baking powder, salt, and ground ginger in a bowl. Mix until batter is smooth.
  2. 2 Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Pour batter into the skillet to make 4 pancakes. Cook until bubbly, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until desired brownness is reached, about 1 minute more.

Reviews

  1. The flavor is alright but it just isn't the same. It doesn't have the flaky layers that make it delicious. I'll be taking the time to learn The long, traditional way to make scallion pancakes.
  2. Super easy and tasty!
  3. Quick. Easy. Unexpectedly delicious. Thank you!
  4. my daughter loved this! and now i save lots of money because i dont have to get them from the market!
  5. These turned out really good. The batter seemed a little loose and I was worried but it worked like a champ. I used fresh ginger instead of powder but that is the only change I made. I really liked the addition of sesame oil in these. It made a world of difference in overall flavor. - Read more ...
