  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle dark rum
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
