This is an easy, yummy, very addictive candy. Since there are only two ingredients, it is essential to use only high quality ingredients.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips (such as Nestle®)
  • ¾ cup lemon drop candies (such as Brach's®)

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe 2-cup measuring cup; heat in microwave until melted, about 2 minutes. Stir until smooth.
  2. 2 Place lemon drop candies in a resealable plastic bag. Place this bag into another resealable bag, creating a double bag so the candies don't puncture the bag. Crack candies with rolling pin or mallet until broken into small pieces.
  3. 3 Stir cracked candies into melted white chocolate. Smooth mixture onto a piece of aluminum foil to about 1/4-inch thickness. Chill in refrigerator until set, at least 30 minutes. Break bark into small pieces and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.

  2. Make sure you get chocolate wafers, not chips. Chips are meant to keep their shape in cookies and do not melt well. Other than that, these turned out perfectly and I loved them.
  3. Taste was delicious but breaking the lemon drops (Brach's) was very difficult and ended with powder in between chunks. Started with a rolling pin went to a mallet and finally used a hammer. Note to try Lemonheads if we decided to make again.
  4. Very pleased. Ghirardelli chips are the best with good quality lemon drops.
  5. I use Merken's or Ghiardelli white chocolate melts. ( Melt them low and slow in the microwave stirring every few minutes. They are much easier to melt than white chocolate chips. I use Lemonheads (crushed of course). I've had several people tell me how much they enjoyed the Lemon Bark in the Christmas packages that - Read more ...
  6. I made several different barks for office gifts last year and everyone who got this one loved it. I divided the batch into quarter-pound servings; one recipient ate his entire portion in one sitting! Last week a co-worker hopefully asked me if I would be making it again this year so it was definitely memorable. - Read more ...

  8. Delicious! I sprinkled some additional lemon candies on top before setting just so it would look prettier. This would be a great springtime treat. Thanks for sharing.:)
