  1. Was looking for a good pork rub to replace the McCormicks Apple Wood rub (they quit making it). Used 1/2 Paprika and 1/2 Smoked Paprika, 1 tsp Onion and Garlic Powder (in lieu of onion/garlic salt), 1 tsp Salt (in lieu of tenderizer), 1 tsp dried Basil, 1 tsp Ground Mustard and 2 Tbsp dark - Read more ...
  2. I put this on chicken tenders and baked in the oven. My house smelled fantastic! I basted the tenders with barbeque sauce right before serving. I made the recipe as written minus the meat tenderizer because I didn't have any. Very, very good!
  3. Excellent rub to make! Flavorful without the heat. I added a 1/4tsp cayenne pepper and 1/4 tsp white pepper. But the base recipe.... Wonderful
  4. Great rub! I used this on 5 large boneless chicken breasts and marinated overnight in the rub. I then placed chicken the crockpot the next day and cooked on low for about 6-8 hours. Shredded the chicken and added Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce and had pulled chicken sandwiches served with slaw. Delicious!
  5. Very nice rub with good flavor. I used this on a whole chicken and it helped keep the chicken moist and gave it a nice taste to the skin.
  6. I used garlic powder/onion powder instead of garlic salt/onion and I increased the amount of those AND the basil to a full teaspoon. Great on chicken.
