Breakfast in a glass never tasted so good! Keep a few frozen bananas on hand for a quick smoothie.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups Almond Breeze Original almondmilk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons instant espresso powder
  • 1 small frozen banana, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons quick cooking oats

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Add all ingredients to blender container or smoothie maker. Cover; blend 15 to 20 seconds or until smooth. Pour into glass. If desired, sprinkle with an additional pinch of espresso powder.

  1. I suggest adding Stevia or your sweetener of choice, otherwise it's pretty bland. I did really like it after that though!
  2. Love the espresso flavor with the banana. I will be making this again for sure.
  3. It was great! The second time I made it I added a couple of dashes of cinnamon. It turned out really good also, just a tip for cinnamon lovers.
  4. I used 1 packet of Starbucks Via iced coffee, and added ice....it is delicious!

Being a diabetic I do something very similar: cup of almond milk; scoop of protein powder (low-carb); a splash of black coffee; 1/2 Tbs of pure Stevia; AND add BIG Tbs of organic Peanut Butter (low-carb).   6. My son loved it. I used 1/2 of an individually packed Starbucks instant coffee and about a 1/2 a tsp of cinnamon.
  7. pretty good. works fine with regular milk if you don't keep almond milk around
  8. I thought this was very good. I pulverized my oats in the blender before adding the rest of the ingredients. I used only 1 cup milk and added 1 packet of Truvia. Will make again.
  9. Easy and quick to make! I would definitely make it again.
