A friend of mine showed me how to make this. It’s incredibly EASY and you’ll have so many people asking for the recipe! This is also a great pasta salad if you’re looking for something without mayo. Add or delete vegetables as you desire!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) package rotini pasta
  • 1 (12 ounce) package tri-color rotini pasta
  • 6 roma (plum) tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cucumber, chopped
  • ½ cup chopped purple onion
  • 1 (16 ounce) bottle ranch dressing
  • 1 (16 ounce) bottle Italian-style salad dressing

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; cook the rotini and tri-color rotini at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes; drain. Rinse the pasta with cold water until cool; drain.
  2. 2 Combine pasta, tomatoes, cucumber, and purple onion in a large bowl.
  3. 3 Stir ranch dressing and Italian-style salad dressing together in a separate bowl; spread over the pasta mixture and stir to coat.

  1. I just made this and am letting it "blend" a little before serving. I'm not a big fan of sour and Italian dressing has a little too much bite for me so I did the Ranch/Italian blend as in the recipe. It's perfect for me. I like this recipe because it is so versatile. I - Read more ...
  2. I just didn't like the combo of Italian & Ranch dressings. It just wasn't for us.
  3. This is almost exactly the way I make my pasta salad. I only use Italian dressing (not a fan of ranch) I also add cubed ham or chunks of kielbasa. Also add chunks of cheese. Usually whatever I have on hand. I like a white and a yellow for the taste and color. Always gets - Read more ...
  4. This is wonderful and I have made it several times now:)
  5. I loved it... I changed up though cause I'm scared of tomatoes. I used the cucumber sliced pepperoni and olives... it was awesome oh I also used fresh grated parmesean cheese.
  6. This wash delicious! I made enough to serve forty and they were scrapping the pan. I also added brocolli it was yummy!!
  7. loved it! I added mozzarella balls and sliced black olive for a personal touch...great recipe!
  8. Everything it says it is! Wonderful!
  9. This might not have plain mayo but it does have Ranch dressing, which has mayo - or at least it should be made with mayonnaise. This would probably be better made with home made Ranch dressing but the bottled dressing just didn't taste very good in this pasta salad.
