Perfect for chilly evenings, this hearty ground beef casserole made with always smooth, firm and delicious NO YOLKS® Noodles will warm the soul.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 6 ounces NO YOLKS® Extra Broad Noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Prepare noodles according to package directions.
  2. 2 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  3. 3 Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown beef with onion, garlic, oregano and salt. Stir in tomato sauce, water and cooked noodles. Pour into casserole dish and top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  4. 4 Bake 20 minutes or until casserole is bubbling.

  1. We did not enjoy this at all. I don't know what it was exactly it just wasn't good.
  2. Excellent recipe as listed. I can see it being done with sausage or adapted with peppers to a more Mexican flavor. A did add a little sugar to sweeten the tomato sauce, increased the garlic to 3 cloves, and added 1/2 chopped bell pepper. Lots of possibilities with this one.
  3. My picky soon ate two helpings. Followed the recipe exacty. It was very good and very easy.
  4. Yum so easy! Just a few ingredients too....serve with a salad and garlic bread and you have a great meal! I used 3 cheese cheddar so tasty!
  5. We enjoyed this on a cold night. It's a little too tomato-y so I would adjust if I made it again. I would add some onion and more cheese.

  7. Good base recipe. I used onion powder. Doubled seasonings. used jar marinara about 3 cups. 1box of pasta large shells .used mozzarella cheese 1 block shredded and added some to the noodle mixture. My son loved it.
  8. We thought this was great! I added a chopped green pepper, chopped mushrooms, triple the amount of garlic and a lot of extra seasonings. I served this with a side salad and garlic bread. Easy and delicious! I really liked the cheddar cheese on it too.
  9. This dish was delicious! My entire family and picky neighbor really enjoyed it. I followed the recipe almost entirely.
