With peanut butter, toasted coconut, oats and raisins, your family will be going nuts for these cookies! You’ll love that applesauce adds flavor without all the calories of butter and oil.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mott's® Natural Applesauce
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup chunky peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup shredded coconut, lightly toasted
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine sugar, applesauce, peanut butter and egg in large bowl. Mix until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  2. 2 Spoon dough by rounded tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheet.
  3. 3 Bake 15 minutes, until lightly browned. Allow to cool slightly before removing cookies to cool completely.

  1. Added walnuts because I I only had smooth peanut butter extra half cup flour to thicken 1/2 more cinnamon and 1/2 tsp vanilla and they tasted great. Did not look very cookie shaped otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
  2. This cookie is quick to make and includes items one usually has on hand. Great for those watching their oil/butter intake.   3. I liked these bc of the moisture to them. They weren't the most flavorful yes kinda bland but I liked them still. Maybe I would add more coconut or chocolate chips next time.
  4. As written this is kind of bland cookie. I omitted the raisins and added 1/8 tsp each ground cloves nutmeg and ginger.
