Tart pomegranate seeds add a delicious crunch to this salsa that also features sweet mandarin oranges, red onions, jalapenos and cilantro. Great served with tortilla chips.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 pomegranates, peeled and seeds separated
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans mandarin orange segments, drained and coarsely chopped
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced pickled jalapeno pepper
  • 1 bunch cilantro, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 pinch ground cumin

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Mix pomegranate seeds, mandarin oranges, onion, fresh jalapeno, pickled jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice, and cumin together in a bowl.
  2. 2 Cover bowl and refrigerate for several hours or overnight to let flavors blend.

  2. This is amazingly good. Really the only difference from the recipe was that I bought the pomegranate seeds already done in the plastic container (so much easier but a little pricey). Other than that everything else was the same. You can use this salsa for so many different things. It's definitely a keeper!

  4. Guests loved this a nice change from traditional salsa. Very easy to put together and I love the potential versatility of it. Made it as reco'd but will try it with other fruit like Mango vs. Mandarins next time.
