Simple chocolate-covered strawberries, great for any occasion.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips (such as Hershey's®), divided
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag milk chocolate chips (such as Hershey's®), divided
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages large strawberries

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Combine 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips in a double boiler over simmering water; stir frequently, scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching, until melted, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in remaining semisweet and milk chocolate chips.
  2. 2 Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  3. 3 Holding strawberries by their stems, swirl through melted chocolate until all sides are evenly coated. Arrange dipped strawberries on the waxed paper.
  4. 4 Chill strawberries until chocolate coating sets, about 2 hours.

Reviews

  1. so easy! Delicious
  2. I used all milk chocolate and it was good I think it would be better with semisweet and milk chocolate mixed
  3. I melted my chocolate in the microwave. These were a huge hit with my family. I will never purchase the high priced ones in the store. They were so easy to make and delicious. Definitely make sure you have a nice fresh strawberry when making these for better flavor.
  4. What's not to love?! This is one of our favorite desserts. My son wanted to drizzle them with more chocolate after they dried, so he did, and did a pretty good job since it was his first time, lol. We enjoyed these for a nice, light dessert~YUM!!!!
