This sauce is an easy and delicious alternative over what you buy in jars. I use lots of extra garlic in mine! Every time I cook stuffed pastas like asparagus ravioli, my guys asks for this sauce! Don’t forget garlic bread and wine!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (14.4 ounce) can diced Italian tomatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Drain the canned tomatoes. Stir together the drained tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

  1. Very easy and simple. I love that the ingredients are items I typically have in the cupboard. Other than wishing I would have used the small diced tomatoes instead of the chunky ones recipe was great. Per other reviews I added Italian Seasoning and Oregano for additional flavor - glad I did.

  3. i make this all the time its so good and fresh tasting. i don't add quite as much garlic and always use san marzano tomatoes! a little of fresh basil also makes it wonderful!
  4. This was a quick and easy sauce. Also very yummy. I added a tablespoon of prepared pesto and it was delicious. I will be using this recipe again.
  5. I only used 2 garlic cloves and added Italian seasoning as others suggested. I also used a potato masher to break the tomatoes down into more of a saucy consistency.   7. This is 5 stars for a SIMPLE quick tomato sauce. I needed a quick sauce for meatball sandwiches and this worked really well. Next time I'll try adding a little Italian seasoning. Try this recipe!
  8. I needed a quick pasta sauce and threw this together in a hurry! I added some basil and oregano and a few shakes of parmesian cheese very yummy!
  9. Not bad. I added about a tablespoon of italian seasonings and it was perfect.
