Dinner can be on the table in 30 minutes or less with this stir-fry. If you are planning on serving the stir-fry over rice, start the rice first so that they will both be ready to serve at the same time.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 (.88 ounce) package McCormick® Gluten-Free Brown Gravy Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper, Coarse Grind
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ¾ pound flank steak, cut into thin strips*
  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Mix Gravy Mix, water and pepper in medium bowl. Set aside.
  2. 2 Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add beef; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. 3 Stir in broccoli and gravy mixture. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 to 8 minutes or until broccoli is tender-crisp. Serve over cooked rice, if desired.

*Or substitute boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips.


  1. I used beef gravy in a jar and added soy sauce and garlic. Delicious!
  2. Simple easy healthy meal. This is my go too easy! I use beef tips worked great.

  4. Really Good and Quick I used 2 packets of Gravy and Round Steak so the meat could tenderize..A bit longer then I added the Broccoli..
  5. I cut the flank steak a bit too thick but otherwise this was really good! It does a distinctive McCormick gravy taste but it's better than anything I can do!

  7. I used Hamburger instead and added fresh garlic and onions. Family loved it
  8. It came out OK I had to add soy sauce because adding the gravy made it bland and simmer for about 15 minutes
  9. Delicious! I doubled the gravy because I like extra!
