Frozen chicken wings are cooked to perfection in the Panasonic CIO while you quickly make a simple sauce to toss them in. Now you’re ready to tailgate in record time.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen, ready-to-cook chicken wings
  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Arrange chicken wings on a grill pan. Cook in the Panasonic Countertop Induction Oven on "Auto Cook" setting 1 until browned, about 18 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  2. 2 Make barbeque sauce by whisking ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes together in a small sauce pan until well combined. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3 Place cooked wings in a large bowl; pour desired amount of sauce over top and toss to coat well.

Reviews

  1. I used white vinegar and added some liquid smoke, Worchester and some powdered garlic. Amazing flavor on chicken wings. Hubby added a few drops of Franks Red Hot and made his a spicey version
  2. Was a great conversation peace at the super bowl party everyone loved them thanks for your recipe I added my own secret spice to it it was excellent.!!!!!!!
  3. I made this sauce but I don't have an induction oven so I baked these for 40 min at 400 and they came out perfectly. We liked the sauce but it could have used more flavor. Maybe some garlic powder hot sauce Worcestershire sauce something to add just a little more zing. It was quick - Read more ...
  4. Two things I loved about this. 1. That I could do frozen wings so fast. 2. The sauce! These were some really good wings. We loved the flavor and I had everything on hand. Yummy!!
  5. Who knew wings could be so simple? I had a package of fresh wings that I separated but still used the same cook time and they were perfect. I was a little nervous about the sauce because we're heat wimps in this house but I followed exactly and there is a perfect balance of sweet - Read more ...
  6. The wings were good and easy to make. I really liked the sauce and will definitely use that recipe again. I did have lots of splatter with the frozen wings next time I will try fresh wings and see how it turns out. Good recipe! Thank you Jewels!
  7. I was skeptical about putting frozen wings in my Panasonic CIO and only cooking for 18 minutes but it worked! The BBQ sauce has a nice balance of sweet and spicy (it's not too spicy which is great because I'm kind of a whimp when it comes to spicy food). Definitely quick and easy!
  8. Move over hot wings there's a new wing in town. I never expected a simple sauce to taste so good. The crushed red pepper flakes took it over the top. I did make one slight adjustment and only used half the brown sugar. These cooked up from frozen to done in no time using the - Read more ...
