This quick and easy way to serve turkey comes out moist and delicious.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried sage
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (8 ounce) can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water

Cooking Directions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. 2 Mix together the turkey, eggs, 1 cup bread crumbs, garlic, salt, paprika, sage, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Divide mixture into 4 patties. Coat each patty with 1/4 cup breadcrumbs.
  3. 3 Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Cook patties in the heated oil until browned, 4 to 5 minutes each side. Keeping the patties in the skillet, remove about 1/2 the remaining oil from the skillet; add the cranberry sauce to the skillet; cover with aluminum foil.
  4. 4 Place the covered skillet in the preheated oven and cook the patties until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F (75 degrees C), about 15 minutes. Remove patties from the skillet and wrap in aluminum foil to keep warm.
  5. 5 Return skillet to medium heat on stove. Stir the heavy cream into the cranberry sauce. Whisk together the cornstarch and water; slowly add to the skillet; cook and stir until sauce thickens. Pour sauce over patties to serve.

  1. First impression: Breakfast sausage. 'Not what I'd like for a burger turkey or not; but for that it was fine. Since I had 20oz mixed turkey I pretty much upped all the ingredients by 1/4 - except for the eggs which I didn't add at all. For 20oz turkey: 1/2c plain breadcrumbs (yeah more would've - Read more ...
  2. These were pretty good- I cut the cream in half but next time I'll also use less bread crumbs.
  3. Two words: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!
  4. The Turkey patties are great. I avoided the sauce all together. I mixed the whole cranberries from the cranberry sauce in with the ground turkey. We loved it. It's the best turkey burger I've ever tasted. Kudos!
  5. I wish I could divide the turkey patties from the cranberry sauce as far as this rating goes. From now on I will prepare the turky patties but ditch the sauce. I think the turkey was wonderful and nice and healthy and lean and then all that was taken away with a heavy sweeet cranberry - Read more ...
